Summary
Design for a chimney piece in the Marble Hall, as executed. Cut at the sides, showing only the date. The firebasket is pasted on to the cavity. Scale of feet underneath the drawing. Attributed to George Richardson. The firebasket may have been designed by Robert Adam (see Leslie Harris, "Robert Adam and Kedleston", cat. no. 49).

Attributed to George Richardson for Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Baron Scarsdale. By descent to Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale. Acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to the National Trust in 1987.
