Summary
White, black and back-veined yellow marbles, with glass lens, a watch obelisk, British School, 18th or early 19th century (George III). An obelisk carved of black-veined yellow marble mounted on a moulded black marble base. The obelisk is mounted on a white marble and black-veined yellow marble base inlaid at centre with a convex glass lens (for a watch, probably 20th century, now lost). The base is flanked by two white marble Doric columns and mounted on a moulded white and black marble base. Part of the top of the obelisk has broken off.
