Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Nathaniel Curzon, 2nd Baron Scarsdale (1751-1837) (after Sophie de Tott) by William Cantrill (of Derby) (fl.1825-30), after 1808-1830. A head-and-shoulders portrait after the original three-quarter-length of Nathaniel Curzon, 2nd Lord Scarsdale by Sophie Comtesse de Tott, 1808, in robes, Scarsdale Collection, KED/P/251. Cantrill was a local painter-decorator who worked at Kedleston Hall.

Bought with part of the contents of Kedleston Hall with the aid of the National Heritage Memorial Fund in 1986 when the house and park were given to the National Trust by Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000)
