Summary
One of a pair of five linked mahogany, glazed display cabinets consisting of cabinet numbers 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, designed specifically for this room by A.S.G. Butler, circa 1925. Featuring brass fittings, with dentil cornice, divided into five linked cases on tapering legs. Cabinets are situated on the east wall of the museum. The cabinet number is printed in gold numbering at the top center of the cabinet. Internal fabric covering is an off-white cotton which was a replacement by the National Trust in 2010; internal LED strip lights run vertically up the side of the interior. Designed by A.S.G. Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
