Summary
A square-shaped inkpot with an impressed star-burst motif on the base, and fitted with a white metal cover, heavily engraved with a decorative foliage motif and initials on a raised disc-shaped handle. Accompanies a mid-nineteenth century Victorian coromandel lap desk by Halstaff and Hannaford, banded in brass and inset to the cover with the initials M.B.C.(?)(NT10597.1).
