Summary
Garter, reputed to have belonged to James II, of five black silk petit point rectangles worked in silver threads and linked at top, middle and bottom by braids of chequered black silk and silver thread; the middle rectangle worked with two linked red hearts, the others each worked with a word to read UNIS POUR LA VIE; tied with black silk ribbons through a silver thread bullion knot and ending in similar knots and tassels of silver thread.
