Summary
Sculpture, marble bust, Thomas Strickland (1792-1835), British (English) School, c.1820-1830. Marble bust, in roman dress, on a circular base, marked at back. Thomas Strickland of Sizergh and Borwick was from the senior Strickland line, married Gasparine De Fingerline (1805-1846). Her portrait is on the top landing next to the Pele Tower door. Their son Walter Charles was the last of the senior line to live at Sizergh.
