Half-length portrait of a young woman turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a black low-cut dress with lace ringes and a pink rose at her bosom. Brown eyes, raven black hair, aged about 19. Scumbled blue background. (compare with SIZ.P.33), signed by Cecile Villeneuve at left edge; pencil inscription on backing card, 'Vaumeny'. Painted 1843.
