Summary
French mantel clock in gilt metal with ormolu mounts, Napoleonic period; in the form of four composite columns with heavy entablature including dentils with a scolled ornament on the frieze/architrave; the mechanism mounted between the columns; round dial with scrolled surround, pendulum also with foliage in relief and star at centre; on the base a scrolled ornament with herm figure on four square feet. c.1820.
