Summary
A rosewood and upholstered armchair, English, circa 1900, with buttoned toprail above a slender 'X'-shaped splat centred by a carved rosette, the arms short and downswept and on in-curved supports with scroll terminals and carved with harebells. The front legs square-section and tapering and with spade feet and brass castors. Upholstered to the back, arms and seat in brown and grey moquette, and with a later cotton sateen cover printed with vases of flowers and coral bands against an ivory ground.
