Summary
A tulipwood, kingwood, marquetry and gilt metal-mounted occasional table, or table en chiffonier, French, late 19th/early 20th century, in the manner of Charles Topino (1742 - 1803). Of oval form, the top inlaid with a Chinoserie landscape in marquetry, and with pierced gilt metal gallery, above three floral marquetry-fronted drawers, and floral marquetry-decorated sides, with shaped aprons and cabriole legs terminating in gilt metal sabots and united by a kidney-shaped undertier inlaid with writing implements and with pierced brass gallery.
