Summary
A table, one of a near pair of ebonised Sutherland tables, English, circa 1870, one with a rectangular top, the other with an oval top. This example with a rectangular top with moulded edge and two drop-leaves, both with canted corners. The top raised at each end on a pair of ring-turned balustroid supports on outswept feet, united by a turned stretchers, and with a pair of turned legs or gates to support the leaves, both fitted with ceramic castors.
