Summary
A chair, one of a near set of nine ash and alder rush-seated spindle-back chairs, North-West England, first half of the 19th century. Each back with two rows of finely turned spindles, the shaped stay-rail sitting between the rear uprights, the rush-seat raised on typical club legs and united by typical turned and side stretchers.
