Summary
An oak open library bookcase, English, circa 1850, in the Gothic Revival style. The recessed upper section of two bays of three shelves, beneath a crenellated toprail and between chamfered uprights with central square boss and topped by a foliate finial. The lower section with a frieze carved with flowers and above one shelf between conforming uprights, on a plinth base.

Given by Henry Hornyold Strickland (1890 – 1975) with Sizergh Castle and its estates in 1950.
