Summary
A marble-topped mahogany and gilt metal-mounted jardinière or urn stand, French, circa 1900, in Louis XVI style. The white-veined red marble top within a pierced brass gallery above a frieze fitted with a small drawer and raised on three square-section and reeded supports mounted with gilt metal leaves to their tops, and with gilt metal husk beading to the reeds, on three cabriole supports also mounted with gilt metal leaves and with acanthus-cast mounts to the feet. The legs united by central stretchers topped by a gilt metal spire finial.
