Summary
Watercolour on mid-tone paper, Alice de la Chere, Mrs Alfred Hornyold (1856-1943) by Cazenave. 1870. Oval. Head and shoulders portait of a young lady turned to the left, gazing to the left with elaborately dressed hair with ringlets falling on her left shoulder. One of a pair of watercolour drawing drawings - Alice de la Chere and Winefred Berthe de la Chere (SIZ.D.25) 1870; in oval mounts, glazed. On reverse of picture, Alice de la Chere (1856-1943) young daughter of Julien de la Chere of Paris and Mary (elder daughter of Henry Matthews of Belmont, Herefordshire) She married Alfred, young son of J.V.Hornyold of Blackmore Park Worcester in 1888. He died in 1921. Framed
