Summary
Watercolour on mid-tone paper, Winifred-Berthe de la Chere (1850-1937) by Cazenave. 1870. An oval framed head-and-shoulders portrait of a young girl, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, with long ringlets falling on her shoulders. One of a pair of watercolour drawings - Winefred-Berthe de la Chere and Alice de la Chere (SIZ.D.26) 1870; in oval mounts, glazed. On reverse of picture, Winifred Berthe de la Chere (1850-1937) 2nd daughter of Julien de la Chere of Paris and Mary (elder daughter of Henry Matthews of Belmont, Herefordshire). Framed.
