Bodice - Part of a three piece afternoon dress of light brown silk trimmed chestnut brown box-pleated silk and fringing. Bodice, skirt and overskirt. Originally worn over horsehair bustle (destroyed by donor).
Provenance
Wedding dress of donor's paternal grandmother Mrs Anne Southcombe (1843-1915) who married a tenant farmer of Court Barton Farm (on Arlington Estate) in 1872. Both grandparents buried at Arlington.
