Summary
Lid for a Swiss twin-handled small tureen (large lidded porringer) on three feet, lid also with three feet with wriggled, punched and formed decoration, so called 'Wochnerinnenschussel' (in Germany and Switzerland). Owners initials MCB. Three struck mark with 'Fin-Zin' mark for best quality pewter by Nikolaus Ubelin II of Basel circa 1730-1750. Underside of bowl, three touches, the centre one a 5-lobed rose between palm brnches and below a crown, and the other two (flanking) marks of oval shape enclosing the figure of an angel. Switzerland ?
