Commemorative jug - Jug with loop handle to commemorate the surrender of the German Fleet, 21st November 1918. Containing portrait of Admiral Beattie, On the reverse, a wreath of flowers with a trident at the top. Made by the Collingwood Brothers.

Germany surrendered, 6 Battle cruisers, 8 Light cruisers, 10 Battleships, 50 Destroyers, 185 Submarines. Admiral Sir David Beattie, near the Inchcape Rock, H.M. Queen Elizabeth S.O.B. November 21st 1918. Thank you - I always told you they would have to come out. Inside the rim, God Save King George. The surrender of the German Fleet has secured the Freedom of the Seas for such as pass thereon upon their lawful occasions, and is a testimony to the value of the sea power which the people of the British Empire will forget at their peril.
