Full description
Bayonet for the Mauser K98 rifle, German, c1910. This is probably the companion to Mauser rifle K98 also at Nunnington Hall. Steel blade, becoming slightly wider at the pointed tip. The top flattened edge marked “Weyersberg Kirschbum & Cie, Solingen”. The steel hilt with spring locking catch and with wooden grips. Steel scabbard with leather frog. Blade length 37cm. Overall length: 50cm.
