Summary
A chair, one of a pair of satin birch chairs, English, circa 1850. Its pair NT 960278. Each with elaborate scroll-ended toprail entwined with carved and pierced foliage. The splat conforming. The seat serpentine and over-stuffed and raised to the front on a pair of moulded cabriole legs. Upholstered in pink floral damask to match the slightly different satin birch chair NT 960285 and another pair NT 960286.1 & 2.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
