Summary
A bird's eye maple, parcel gilt and marble-topped washstand, English, circa 1850, en suite with NT 960176, a pot cupboard, and similar to, but not matching, the other high quality bird's eye maple bedroom and bathroom furniture at Nostell Priory. This washstand with a marble top with three-quarter gallery, the rear portion mounted with a small shelf. The base of nine drawers around a kneehole, all with fluted handles and with baluster and ring-turned corner columns. On a plinth base with rounded, projecting corners.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
