Summary
A bird's eye maple dressing table, English, circa 1850. The top with low gallery to the back and rounded front corners above nine drawers around a central kneehole. The drawers with applied edge mouldings and reeded handles. The pedestals with reeded and ring-turned front corner columns on a plinth base. The brass locks stamped '2 Lever'. Similar to, but not matching, other pieces of high quality bird's eye maple bedroom and bathroom furniture at Nostell Priory.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
