Summary
A bird's eye maple and rosewood-inlaid writing table, English, circa 1850. The serpentine top and shaped friezes inlaid with rosewood marquetry arabesque foliage. The front frieze fitted with a drawer and a lock stamped 'C & C' for Cope & Collinson. On cabriole legs with rosewood line-inlaid edge.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
