Summary
One of a set of four Regency bronze lamps, each with foliage reservoir and two burners with flambeau shades on simulated bronze pedestals and simulated porphyry cylindrical plinth applied with anthemions. Supplied by Thomas Ward in 1819, at a cost of £68.0.0, as part of his refurbishment of the Dining Room. The original spherical glass shades and smoke funnels were replaced with the present flambeau shades c.1892, when the lamps were converted to electricity.
