Summary
A wine cooler, one of a pair of mahogany wine coolers, English, early 19th century. Of sarcophagus form, and inlaid with ebony lines and banded with kingwood. Each lined with a silver-coloured paper and a pair of projecting scroll-form handles, raised on four ball-turned feet fitted with brass caps and castors.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
