Summary
A giltwood and upholstered child's open armchair, or fauteuil, English, in Louis XVI style. The upholstered back panel between fluted and ring-turned uprights with blocks carved with flowerheads, and with open arms on fluted arm supports. The bow-front seat stuff-over and above foliate-carved rails. Raised on four turned, fluted and tapering legs. Upholstered in floral cream fabric to match the other furniture in the Saloon.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
