Summary
A footstool, one of a pair of gilt brass-mounted and upholstered footstools, English, circa 1815, in the manner of George Bullock (d.1818), upholstered in floral lace and ribbon patterned silk brocade in cream, pink, blue to match other seat furniture in the Saloon. Each with arched friezes and four gilt brass feet, pierced with anthemion, scroll-cast and modeled as a hoof.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
