Provenance: nineteenth-century pictorial bookplate of Ouroboros and butterfly, lettered: William Grey [i.e. Rev. William Grey (1819-1872)].The advertisement is annotated with a note at head "Begun at Rome 1833 by B. and S." and below the names of the six poets; most verse are annotated with the place and date (apparently of writing), particularly those by Newman. Binding: publisher's brown cloth, printed paper spine label.
