Autograph letter signed by Jos. W. Percival, Deputy Clerk of the Urban District Council of Bowdon, to the Earl of Stamford, dated: October 22nd,1917, congratulating Lord Stamford on attaining his majority on behalf of the Council, and noting Lord Stamford's expressed wish that "any public recognition of the occasion should be postponed until after the war." On one sheet in folio. Formerly 'Glazed bookcase 3rd drawer.'
