Summary

Typescript letter signed by James Bottomley, Mayor of Stalybridge, to the Right Honourable the Earl of Stamford, dated: 23 October,1917, congratulating Lord Stamford on attaining his majority, with the hope that the "friendly relations which have existed between the Stamford Estate and this Town may be continued". One sheet in folio. Formerly 'Glazed bookcase 3rd drawer.'
