Press cutting, Altrincham Guardian, 27.VII.[19]17 : 'Oldfield Park. Striking scenes. Six thousand visitors thank Mr. Leigh. Spontaneous expressions of public gratitude.' Article describing concert and event to celebrate gifts of land by John Leigh and the Earl of Stamford to Altrincham District Council, as a site for workmen's cottages, and a public park.
