Summary
White textile (cotton/linen?) post bag, stamped on one side in red: ANSTEYS / FOOD BOXES. The front of the bag bears postmarks for Johannesburg and South Africa and an additional paper label which is mostly missing. The bag is addressed (handwritten) to: LADY STAMFORD / DUNHAM MASSEY / ALTRINCHAM / CHESHIRE / U.K., and bears several handwritten notes, including: ALT/ADD / NEAREST / HOSPITAL; 1lb Pudd xmas 2/4 / 2lb Marm 1/3 / 1lb Glac Pine 4/-. There are also other notes stamped in black.
