Summary
Long, shallow, rectangular wooden crate with lid, two small, iron straps at each corner and with a rope handle at each end. The lid bears carriage labels and two handwritten address labels (badly eaten by insects), one of which reads, 'To The Right Hon. / The Countess of Stamford / Dunham Massey Hall ['... Upper Grosvenor Street' crossed through]...' There are also handwritten notes written in black crayon directly on the lid.
