Summary
Drop-in chair seat consisting of a wooden frame, horsehair padding, hessian underside and cover to horsehair, and webbing support. '4' is handwritten on the hessian on the underside, possibly in ink, and the frame has a pencil line running down the centre from front to back. The seat is covered in a glazed cotton; cream ground with a tiny brown haphazard pattern, similar to vermicelli but actually shapes. Stained and torn.
