Summary
One of two small green 'Papier D'Armenie' books, apparently unused, containing strips of burning paper infused with benzoin oil used as room deodorisers. Manufactured in Paris by A. Ponsot, 26 Rue St. Claude and with a red band reading, 'MEDAILLES D'OR' (Gold Medal). Part of a collection of miscellania contained in leather writing case, DUN/L/18.

Stamford collection; devised to the National Trust by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896-1976).
