Summary
One sheet from a letter handwritten in blue ink on pale blue notepaper, headed 'GYBBON'S PLACE / IGHTHAM, / NR. SEVENOAKS / KENT (printed in blue), dated '16-1-54' and addressed to 'My dear Lady Stamford'. 'Audrey Crichton-Maitland?' is handwritten in pencil at the top of the letter, which thanks the Countess of Stamford for writing and gives details of the sender's sons, Peter, who began working for Lloyds after finishing in the Coldstream Guards and Roger who had just started... Part of a collection of letters contained within the pages of a well-used address book belonging to Penelope, Countess of Stamford, with red, linen-effect cover with impressed trellis pattern and tooling.
