A part of a letter handwritten in black ink on folded cream notepaper, beginning 'My lady you could always / make a hot drink ['hot drink' underlined in red pencil crayon] of Black- / current jam...' and signed, 'Yours obediently / Winifred Parker'. Part of a collection of letters contained within the pages of a well-used address book belonging to Penelope, Countess of Stamford, with red, linen-effect cover with impressed trellis pattern and tooling.
