Summary
Wood side rail to a bed, with a short canvas strip with rope holes along the loose long edge tacked almost along the entire length of the rail, to a rebated top inside edge. The rail does not have bolt holes as would normally be found at the end of end/side rails but does have a cut-out slot at one end (160 mm x 20 mm x 33 mm). One end of the rail is larger than the other and the end joints are not the same depth of the rail and are not central.
Provenance
