Summary
Plain oak side rail with rebated top edge to which is tacked a short length of canvas with rope holes along the long, loose edge; the canvas runs the length of the rail. The opposite top edge is nicely finished, there is a bolt hole at each end and the rail is incised 'II' and 'III' (crescent shapes) at each end.
