Rectangular clear glass bottle without stopper and with a white paper label with blue text for J.T. Holding & Son, Dispensing Pharmacists, Railway St., Altrincham. The blue ink handwriting on the label reads: 'The Linctus [underlined]. One or two teaspoonfuls / to be taken occasionally / to allay the cough / W485/3 March/55 [in pencil] / Lady Stamford'.
