Summary
Pen and ink on paper. Views in Newfoundland and Labrador by The Rev. William Grey (1819-1872). A selection of pen and ink sketches bound in a volume entitled ‘VIEWS IN NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR’, with a maroon linen cover with maroon leather spine and corners and with gold tooling; the inside covers are lined with orange/brown paper. Bound by J. Rowbotham, Indian Rubber Bookbinder, 19 Newman Street, Oxford Street (black and gold rectangular label, top left corner of inside of front cover). Sketches signed ‘WG’ (the Rev. William Grey, father of the 9th Earl of Stamford).
