Summary
Christmas card for 1918 featuring a photograph of Stamford B.R.C. [British Red Cross] Hospital, Dunham Massey; white card with blue writing and a sepia photograph of Dunham, plain on front with only the word 'Christmas'. On the reverse are words from George R.I. expressing thanksgiving and the need for self control when celebrating victory. Inside, as well as the photograph of the house as Stamford Hospital, are the words 'God bless you today and guide you through a Happy New Year', with a space for the recipient's name and 'From the Countess of Stamford, The Earl of Stamford and Lady Jane Grey'. Collection of paper items including: ; (b) green paper 'Wonder Box' locomotive; (c) fold-out concertina of small photographs of Weybridge contained in a cardboard cut-out of two aeroplanes.
