Summary
Watercolour, on paper, Loch Awe, from Portsonachan, Aug 28th 1874. A mountain and lake landscape with a person in a boat in the foreground, inscribed in handwritten ink 'Loch Awe from Portsonachan, Aug. 28th 1874' and 'Roger' handwritten in pencil, from a collection of cuttings contained in a green cardboard box, lid missing, 'The Wolsley unshrinkable women's white wool bodices, short sleeves', with various other items: (.2-.4) three black and white prints painted over; a variety of pictures cut out from publications including (.5+.6) two coloured prints of birds, (.7) coloured print of a man with a sack, (.8) coloured print of a train, (.9) coloured print of a boat, (.10), the 'Beauvais Rug', (.11) a toyshop scene, (.12) an altar in Venice, (.13) a picture of a lady in 20's (?) clothing; two article taken from newspapers including: (.14) 'How did the ladies cut the carpet?', and (.15) 'The Russian Advance into Galicia', 1914.
