Summary
Copper farthing, believed to be from 1672-1679, unless a copy. On one side is the head of Charles II facing left and the words CAROLUS A CAROLO. On the other side of copper farthings from this era is a seated Britannia and the word BRITANNIA underneath, though this cannot be seen on this coin. Wrapped in scrap of linen-effect paper on which is handwritten in ink 'coin found in spice cupboard [DUN/F/132] 24. Sept. 1917 by Bordman (Carpenter) who repaired cupboard'.
