Summary
Two marble stands, part of a marble model of a Roman bath, DUN/SC/23a, with a separate rectangular marble base, DUN/SC/23c. A label alluding to the patronage of the Duke of Devonshire is stuck to the base and a handwritten label describes the piece as 'a model of a Roman bath in rosewood marble from the Duke of Devonshire's quarry at Ashford, and now at Chatsworth, 1827'.
