Summary
Six salt spoons from a set of ten believed to be by William Strange, c. 1730. 'The Hanoverian pattern spoons have extended drops on the back of their bowls and are engraved on the underside of the handle with the initials GW and an earl's coronet... [They] were evidently intended to accompany the salt cellars...' (Lomax and Rothwell, 'Country House Silver from Dunham Massey', 2006, pp. 75) DUN/S/307 and DUN/S/473.
