Summary
Long, narrow, shallow, black leather-covered fitted case containing a paper knife with silver handle and tortoiseshell blade, inscribed with an 'S' and coronet and the date '1895'. The lid of the case features gold tooling and brass hinges; the interior of the case is lined with cream satin and velvet and features a gold stamp for Mappin & Webb. London, 1894.
