One of five lace flounces, cream cotton Brussels bobbin lace; droeschel reseau half and whole stitch with role and tie edges to toile; design of leaves, flowers and cartouches; heading follows design; footing straight; cream cotton machine net, cream cotton needlerun spot motives, cream cotton machine net. See DUN/TC/131.1-13.

Provenance

Robe worn by Lady Stamford (1864-1961) altered between 1902 and 1937.
